Everybody should use Free and Open Source Software …

April 27, 2007

Rafael Correa, the President of Ecuador, said it all:

“This is the time for the Integration of Latin America in every aspect of our lives including the technology. In this aspect it is important that we adopt free software not only in the public administrations but in the private sector. With Free software we can get closer to guarantee the sovereignty of our Countries, we can become producers of technology, and we can develop an array of useful products for governmental and non-governmental organizations. Ecuador already has the use of free software as a State Policy because we believe the use of Free Software is an important step for the integration of Latin America and why not for the freedom of Latin America.”
