Free and Open Source Software in Kindergarten? Colombians say yes!

In Clermont School, Bogota, Colombia, Kindergarten students have the opportunity to learn about a free and open source software available for educational purposes: Tux Paint. Tux Paint is a drawing program designed for young children (ages 3 and up). With this program, students learn how to use the mouse, how to organize ideas, and how to see the world to represent it in a computer. Thanks to a variety of drawing tools,an easy to use interface, and an encouraging cartoon (Tux), the Linux Penguin (see the image below), Tux Paint has all that children need to be more creative.
